Some members may not remember the previous photograph board ( see page 48 ) or the
Memorial Board ( photo below )- The most recent refurbishment, with removal of the partition to open up the old ‘snooker room’ and return Legion Hall closer to its original room proportions led to a re-appraisal of how Remembrance—a key feature of The Royal British Legion—should be preserved.
Additional names were researched and added to those already on the Memorial Board hand , C agreement had already been reached between Branch and Club committees that original names would be retained even where they had no specific connection with Mousehole.
New boards were researched and both size and material agreed.
( examples shown below).
The smaller board shown—the Solomon Browne crew—did not materialise, but now has its own Remembrance in the fine painting by Tim Hall which hangs where once the photographs hung.
