There doesn’t appear to have been many committee meetings recorded during this year.
Euchre was continuing to boost funds and there was an invitation to the Male Voice Choir to give a concert.
A 10 shilling contribution was sent for the British Legion stall at the county show.
It is interesting to note, in view of the 1951 decision to separate Branch and Club, that a Single committee appears to have dealt with business for both ‘formations’ with Legion HQ and Cornwall County information regularly read out.
1959
March Decision to purchase a galvanised flag pole, since a wooden one could not be obtained.
The installation the was carried out by Mr R Carne with instructions to fit it outside the Hall.
It was agreed to pay an annual subscription of £1.10 shillings to the Execu-
tive Fund out of Branch funds.
Nov. Negotiations were started with Mr Quick regarding an upper floor.
Dec. Theft of £19 from the bar on the 7th was reported to the police Decisions made (1) to purchase a safe (2) to brick of the hatchway.

March Penzance Council to be contacted for action on safety of the War Memorial April Penzance Council agree to put chain around the memorial
