card room players were required to provide their own coal A wine committee was formed
Col. Sotheby provided a small library of books. Colonel Sotheby :-
(Deputy vice Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire )
was of the earliest benefactors to Mousehole Legion, and an early photo ( provided by Mike Buttery ) showed him with Duchess, one of his horses.
Though the colonel presented the books, members were asked to construct a bookcase to hold them.
Whether this was ever made is not recorded in the minutes but 12 months later -” a magnificent mahogany bookcase was received as a gift”.
By then Colonel Sotheby had been appointed President .....Could he have provided that magnificent bookcase? And what happened to it eventually?

Henry Corin was appointed honorary barman and Mrs Corin as care taker, replacing Mr and Mrs Nicholls.
Mr Tonkin resigned as Hon. Treasurer -replaced by Bromley Worth
Resolution passed that the small room be heated when in use
Proposal to increase fees from 1 shilling and sixpence to 2 shillings
Steward to be allowed a new broom—but not an electric kettle
Agreement to purchase a poppy wreath for the War Memorial and to parade to the Wesleyan Chapel on Remembrance Sunday.
Price of Guinness discussed.
Members to receive a Christmas drink—but no spirits.
