Do you remember the original photo boards? At one time displayed next to the bar where the Solomon Browne painting now hangs and later just inside the main room to the right of the dartboard. Original photos were re-sized by Courtwood Studios and carefully mounted on to the boards by Fred Taylor – captions were added later- when the boards were re-hung during the most recent makeover of the bar. This re -hanging gave the opportunity of adding more faces of ex-service members making a total of 68. With the further development of a memorial window with J Trewavas VC as centrepiece, the photos with many additions were placed in a file, together with the diligently researched records of WW1 Fallen, by ex Branch President Maj. Bob Harrison, the number has now increased to 129 (January 2015).
