THE EARLY YEARS—The THIRTIES
It is not clear whether this team was specifically involved with or sponsored by Mousehole British Legion —but Arnold Gartrell was to play a key part in the development of Legion Hall, whilst other player’s names occur frequently in minutes of committee meetings through those early years.
The main archive diary sources mention both football and cricket teams besides darts, billiards and local league cards players, showing that the social life of the British Legion was vibrant.
